Julie Weiss, who ran 52 marathons in 52 weeks and
raised more than $500,000 for pancreatic cancer research and treatment, will sign books and speak about her remarkable journey at Barnes & Noble, located at 1800 Rosecrans Ave, Bldg. B in Manhattan Beach, California on April 20 at 1pm.
One of the stars of “SPIRIT OF THE MARATHON II,” Julie went from being a face in the
crowd to a much loved figure in the running community during her 1362.4-mile journey
in 2012/2013. Since then she has gone on to run more than 100 marathons and has
become a two-time grandmother. Showing no signs of slowing down, she began work
on her memoir three years ago and continues to support the cause closest to her heart. The just published “52 Weeks, 52 Marathons The Miles and Trials of a Marathon Goddess” (ISBN r978-1-7326927-2-5) chronicles that epic journey and so much more. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the book will benefit the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
