Cancer Support: Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach (CSCRB) will host Sarah Shimanek, PT, DPT, PRPC, a certified pelvic rehabilitation practitioner on Wednesday, April 25, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 109 W. Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach. Pelvic organ prolapse is common after gynecological or gastrointestinal cancers and related surgeries. Shimanek will discuss pelvic organ prolapse, risk factors, and how it can be prevented and treated with physical therapy to alleviate symptoms and avoid surgery. Advance registration required.
