Palos Verdes Ballet Presents “Cinderella”
Director Uta Graf-Apostol presents the childhood fairy-tale classic, “Cinderella” at the Norris Theatre for the Performing Arts for one performances only, Sunday May 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets, available at the Norris Theatre box office are $38 for adults and $28 for children.
On Saturday, May 26th 2019, Palos Verdes Ballet will transform the Norris Theatre into a magical fairytale to tell the beautiful story of Cinderella.
The humor, romance, and magic that makes “Cinderella” a story loved by adults and children is brought to life on stage. Adorned in beautiful costumes Palos Verdes Ballets up-and–coming generation of talented young students dance to Sergei Prokofiev’s sweeping score, creating a feast for the eyes, ears and the heart.
Palos Verdes Ballet welcomes back alumna Olivia Tang-Mifsud of Joffrey Ballet and Stephan Azulay of Royal Winnepeg Ballet. The fantastic duo will dance one of Georges Bizet’s most beautiful score “Carmen”, choreography by Roland Petit.
“We can never emphasize enough the value of performing on stage,” explains director Uta Graf-Apostol. “ Each role is a stepping stone in a students development into a dancer. Attending class and strengthening ones technique is always important, but it is only on stage in performance that a student experiences the true art of ballet.”
