Palos Verdes Library District presents Jazz and Swing from A to Z with
Dr. Thom David Mason

When: Tuesdays, March 6, 13, 20, 27, April 3, and 10 at 1PM
Where: Peninsula Center Library Community Room

This multi-media presentation is filled with musical examples, rare photos, film clips, humorous stories, and live demonstrations that stimulate, educate and entertain. Join us for entirely new lectures on Count Basie and Friends; Women Who Play Jazz and Swing; Blues Stars of Jazz and Swing; Jazz and Swing in the 50s and 60s; Jazz and Swing in the 70s and 80s; Jazz and Swing from the 90s to the Present. This 6-week course will be taught by Dr. Thom David Mason, retired Professor of Jazz Studies at the Department at the Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California.

Sponsored by Palos Verdes Library District and the USC Emeriti Center College, these classes are free and open to the public. 

No registration is required. Seating is limited so please arrive early.
