The public is invited to attend a Plant Based Cooking School that will be conducted on four Tuesday evenings, October 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the South Bay Adventist Church, 401 S. Prospect Ave., Redondo Beach (1 block south of Torrance Blvd).

It will be hosted by Susan Jenson, a plant-based certified registered dietitian in the South Bay area.

Come learn about the benefits of a plant based diet that will add longevity, vitality and health to your life.  This cooking school will focus on:

  1.  The role food plays in stopping, reversing and curing heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity and many other diseases.
  2.  Preparing nutritious, delicious cuisine with whole foods and no animal products.

The presenters for Tuesday, October 2 are:  Dr. Hans Diehl, DrHSc, MPH, founder of the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) and professor of Preventive Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine who will present a scientific lecture about The Advantages of a Plant-Based Lifestyle, and Chef AJ, a celebrity vegan chef, culinary instructor and host of the show Healthy Living with Chef AJ on Foody TV who will present a cooking demonstration.

You are invited to a book signing at 6 pm on Tuesday, October 2.  Dr. Hans Diehl will be signing 2 of his books, Health Power and The Optimal Diet Cookbook.  Chef AJ will be signing her new book The Secrets To Ultimate Weight Loss.

There will be lectures, cooking demonstrations, food tasting, door prizes and recipes each night.

The cost: free, no charge (donations will be accepted). Free child-care will be provided.
