Barnes & Noble Manhattan Beach will host award-winning local author Seth Fishman to read from his new picture book, POWER UP: Your Incredible, Spectacular, Supercharged Body (Greenwillow Books/HarperCollins; publication date: March 19, 2019) and talk with kids about energy and its relationship to the human body. Fishman is also the author of A Hundred Billion Trillion Stars, about stars and numbers, which won the 2018 Mathical Book Prize, was a Boston Globe / Horn BookHonor Book, a Pizza Hut’s BOOK IT / Give Me 20 reading campaign selection, and was named a best book of the year by Space.com, the Horn Book and the Planetary Society.
