Seashore Science Surprises

Preschool children (ages 3-5) are invited to discover the wonders along the shore at Cabrillo Beach with hands-on exploration, stories, and puppets in our “Tales Between the Tides” classes.  Session 1 is offered Tuesday, June 19 and Wednesday, June 20. Session 2 is offered Thursday June 21 and Friday June 22. Session 3 is offered Tuesday, August 21 and Wednesday, August 22 and Session 4 is offered Thursday, August 23 and Friday, August 24. All sessions are from 10 – 11:30 a.m.

The classes include: Aquarium exploration, marine animal experiences, stories and arts and craft projects to make and take home. Fun activities will focus on teaching children about Southern California marine life.  Children must bring their favorite adult to join in on the fun.  The fee is $26 for a two-day session ($24 Friends members) and pre-registration is required by Wednesday, June 6. The Aquarium is located at 3720 Stephen M. White Drive in San Pedro and is a facility of the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks with support from Friends of Cabrillo Marine Aquarium.
