The Torrance Performing Arts Consortium/Mercury Stage Productions, under the sponsorship of South Bay Conservatory continues its inaugural 2018-2019 season Torrance Pops/“Joanna and Friends” with the second in its three-concert season, “Torrance Goes Jazz” under the baton of Joanna Medawar Nachef, Artistic Director/Conductor. This second concert will feature a solo jazz performance by Grammy-nominated American jazz pianist, David Benoit, Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 7:30 PM at the James R. Armstrong Theatre, in Torrance, California.
As a pianist, composer, producer and director of the Asia American Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Benoit has charted over 25 albums since 1980. His musical prowess has brought him national and international renown and the concert will be an exciting evening of jazz standards, arrangements and originals not to be missed.
