Television celebrity Wee Man is giving the South Bay a chance to thank and honor its favorite charity by way of a free event at Chronic Tacos.

The reputed skateboarder who grew up riding the streets of the South Bay stands at 4’1/2″ tall; claims the slogan “Little Man, Big Mouth;” and insists that no organization is too small to be nominated for his upcoming contest.

“I might be going for the little guy, if you catch my drift,” Wee Man said, and laughed.

Since bestowing his recognized brand onto the Chronic Tacos in Redondo Beach, Wee Man has been active in organizing charitable events onsite.

This time, he’s inviting Chronic Tacos patrons to nominate a local charity to win a sponsored, catered event for up to 30 people at Chronic Tacos.

“I think it’s really big to keep it local,” Wee Man said, “because you can do something for someone on the other side of the country but you never see exactly what you did for them. To see it happen locally, to get to see the smiles on faces and see what you have brought to this charity – that’s something that in the long run will be a benefit for everybody.”

The kind of event he envisions for the winner involves “everybody eating and having a good time.”

“Everybody seems to be happy when they’re eating, so that’s all we want,” he said.

To enter, email promotion@eatchronictacos.com and enter into the subject field the phrase Wee Man’s Chronic Tacos Charity Contest. In the body of the email, include your name and city of residence, contact information, the name of the charity you nominate, and a summary of reasons behind your choice of charity.

The deadline to enter is Nov. 28.

“We want the small ones to enter, you know,” Wee Man said. “Look at me – I came from nowhere. We definitely want the small ones, the ones that are just helping out anybody.”
