Good Stuff restaurants raising money for shooting victims

Good Stuff restaurants are donating 20 percent of sales today to the family of a father and son killed during the Oct. 20 Inglewood shooting rampage.

The victims were the brother and nephew of a Good Stuff server in Hermosa Beach. The shooting left behind three children and a wounded mother.

Filimon Lamas, 20, and Giovanni, 4, died when a gunman, described as a tenant in the process of being evicted, allegedly started the family’s back house on fire Oct. 20 and then entered their home and started shooting.

“The shooting and death of the brother and 4-year-old nephew of one of our employees has rocked our world here,” read a Good Stuff flyer. Those interested in donating 20 percent of their purchase to the family must have a flyer, which are available at the restaurants.

Donations can be made to the Jimenez/Lamas Family Fund at any local Wells Fargo branch, account number 4122412588. Checks also can be sent to the The Lamas Family Donation Fund, ICE Federal Credit Union, One West Manchester Blvd., Suite 603, Inglewood, CA, 90301, care of Account No. 5223.

Police officers from the city of Hawthorne started the Wells Fargo fund. Inglewood officers began the ICE fund.
