Skater to address creativity
Pro skateboarder Rodney Mullen will visit the Hermosa Beach Community Center Thursday night for an address entitled “Carving out Your Creativity.”
The event is part of the Beach Cities Health District’s Families Connected Speaker Series, and is open to South Bay parents and their school-aged kids. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Community Theater.
Mullen, one of the most influential street skaters of all time and a frequent public speaker, has long been associated with Hermosa. In the late 1980s, he joined up with the World Industries skate team founded by Hermosa local Steve Rocco.
