Open house, tree lighting
Hermosa will host a full slate of holiday festivities Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. with the sand snowman contest north of the Pier. Later, starting at 11 a.m., merchants in downtown will have deals and displays throughout the afternoon. Then, starting at 5 p.m., the tree lighting ceremony on Pier Plaza will feature live music, booths from local charities including the Beach Cities Toy Drive, and a carousel.
