Hermosa Beach Police officers chased and apprehended a man who was suspected of robbing the Hermosa Beach Chase bank Thursday afternoon.
The HBPD confirmed that the male suspect robbed the Chase Bank located 1200 Hermosa Avenue at around 4:35 p.m. Officers spotted the man fleeing the area in a stolen vehicle and attempted to stop him, but he refused and was subsequently involved in a non-injury traffic collision. The man then fled on foot and was taken into custody without further incident following a pursuit, HBPD wrote on Facebook.
Officers recovered an unspecified amount of money taken from the bank as well as a 9mm handgun. The yet to be identified man was booked into the Hermosa Beach jail.
