Video surveillance
An employee was caught on video stealing money from the cash register in the 1000 block of Pacific Coast Highway Dec. 13, police said.
Domestic abuse
A woman punched her boyfriend twice with a closed fist Dec. 13 in the 1000 block of Fifth Street at 11:48 p.m., police said. Her punches caused redness and swelling and minor scratches to his left ear and right eye, and she was arrested for battery, police said.
Scrap metal
A manhole cover was stolen from Second Street and Ardmore Avenue and reported missing at 6 a.m. Dec. 12, police said.
Lifted jackets
Two jackets were stolen from a Christmas party at 19th Street and Hermosa Avenue Dec. 16 around 2 a.m., police said.
