Special Olympians and members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run stopped at the Hermosa Beach pier Wednesday, on their way from the Manhattan Beach pier to the Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach. The runners were welcomed by Hermosa Beach Police Chief Sharon Papa and Special Olympics Committee chairperson Jody Leventhal. Hermosa Beach is hosting teams from Belgium and Belize.
