Authorities have identified a woman found dead on the rooftop balcony of a home she was visiting as Alena Masteruk, 20, of Los Angeles. Her body was found Wednesday, Nov. 17.
The woman had arrived about 3 a.m. at the home on Ocean View Avenue, in the south part of Hermosa Beach, and about noon a male friend who lives there found her on the balcony with no signs of life, police said.
The man called 911, and Hermosa Beach Fire Department firefighter-paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office recovered the body, and toxicology tests were being performed to determine the cause of death.
