Police detectives used witness accounts of a green Jaguar getaway car to nab three suspects and seize several thousand dollars worth of cosmetics, clothing and other merchandise stolen from stores and pharmacies in the beach cities and Los Angeles.

The three had left a store in Manhattan Beach when Hermosa detectives recognized their Jaguar as a vehicle associated with a makeup theft two days before from CVS Pharmacy on Pier Avenue in Hermosa, police said.

The three were followed into Hermosa and arrested, and a search of the car yielded the stolen merchandise, police said.

“The crime partners had just stolen items from a local beachwear shop in Manhattan Beach. The store manager arrived to the arrest location and positively identified all three suspects,” Detective Mick Gaglia said.
