Hermosa’s in the lead for Wyland Foundation water saving competition

Hermosa Beach is again in the running for the third Wyland Foundation Mayorโ€™s challenge for Water Conservation. Last year Laguna Beach won the challenge, just barely beating the Hermosa Beach. The program encourages residents in all 50 states to conserve water, save energy and reduce pollution. Hermosa Beach is currently in the lead. Last year 20,000 people from 1,000 cities made online pledges and vowed to save a total of 4.7 billion gallons of water over the next yearโ€”a potential saving
