Hermosa Historical Society President Greg McNally received a very generous present on his 60th birthday, which he celebrated with fellow Historical Society members last week at the Hermosa Museum. Barbara Guild, a longtime Hermosa Beach activist, and co-founder with her husband Don, of Guild Drug, presented a check for $50,000 to McMally to jump start the Hermosa Beach Historical Society Guild Endowment Fund. Two more $5,000 donations that evening bumped the endowment fund up to $60,000. The fund’s goal, McNally said, is $1 million.
