L.A. County Supervisor Holly Mitchell and Metro will hold a “C-Line/Green Line Community Walk” Saturday, Dec. 16, from 10-12 p.m. at William Green Park in Lawndale, 4558 168th Street.
The event “invites members of the Lawndale and Redondo Beach communities to walk through the possibilities of extending public transit in the Second Supervisorial District” further south from the existing Redondo Beach Station, to the newly opened Torrance Transit Center.
The two routes being studied are an existing train right-of-way through neighborhoods in Redondo Beach and Lawndale; or elevated tracks running down the Hawthorne Boulevard median.
