Hermosa Beach is a pretty flash town these days when it comes to restaurants – most newcomers have an edgy style that includes stark lighting, loud music, and less-than-comfortable furniture.
Compare that with the Bottle Inn, the Hermosa restaurant that has won the most awards over the years. The music and lights are both soft and low, and everything about the experience of dining there is peaceful. The menu is classic Italian rather than a California hybrid, stylish comfort food that never goes out of style. About the only innovation in decades is their decision to open for brunch, and it’s hard to see how anybody could disagree with that – it’s another time of day that we can all visit for the food and service that we love.
