These camps are filled with fun, football skills, and friends both old and new. Campsurf has been the official surf school of the city of Manhattan Beach since 1997.
The California Business Journal dubbed Campsurf “Los Angeles’ premier surf school”. Campsurf provides a safe, fun and educational introduction to surfing and the ocean environment for boys and girls ages 4 and up. LA Maritime Institute
Adventure awaits through Los Angeles Maritime Institute’s Sea Camp
Your camper can spend the summer on the beautiful California coast in a way most people never experience! We offer some of the most memorable camp options in Southern California through three Day Camp sessions (ages 7-10) and nine 5 or 12-day Sleepaway Camp sessions (ages 10-17). Campers have fun in a safe and supportive environment, and no sailing experience is necessary. We provide all that and more as we guide them in setting and adjusting sails, keeping the ship on course, and more – including a variety of ocean-based recreational activities. Surfside Volleyball Club Summer Camps for girls ages 9-14 take place in July at Mira Costa HS. Sign up early as our camps always fill up and have a wait list. All levels are welcome! Beginner/Intermediate clinics are offered year round for girls wanting to start sooner. Advanced girls clinics are available in July/August in addition to summer camps. Tryouts for 4th-8th grade girls take place in early October with important Pre-Tryout Clinics in September. 10-14 year old boys clinics are also available. Waterfront Education
Help Save the Planet! Waterfront Education offers free Ocean Warriors excursions for individuals and groups that pick up trash in our local waters. “Clean oceans are vital for our future. The Ocean Warriors clean-up program is a great way for us to give back to the community and help protect our planet!” said Executive Director, Julie Coll. Waterfront Education has regularly scheduled outings once a month. Small groups can inquire about other dates and times.
