Komick maintained low profile, big presence

Photos by Chris Miller

Kim Komick was a building developer who respected her profession’s typically low profile. But she cast a wide net. Mourners filled American Martyrs Church for her memorial service last Wednesday. Then on Saturday, a similarly large number of friends, and colleagues joined her family in a paddle out in her memory at Marine Street, in Manhattan Beach.

Marine Street was where she surfed almost every morning prior to work. Komick passed away February 16, at age 61, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. ER
