LA Galaxy South Bay Elite GU17 girls celebrated the 4th of July by capturing the Nike “No Maybes” 2015 4v4 Tournament Trophy in Vancouver, Canada. Redondo Union’s Keely Fillman and Callie Hokanson, South’s Olympia Katsouridis and West’s Sarah Kogen earned the title of “Queens of the Continent” after defeating regional winners from New York, Chicago and Vancouver at the Nike Underground facility.
The team earned the trip to Vancouver after winning the Regional tournament at Stub Hub Center on July 21. Nike awarded the team with airfare and accommodations including meals, outfits and tours of Vancouver.
The LA Galaxy South Bay Elite Girls program is for top female soccer players from U8 to U19 age divisions providing a pathway to collegiate programs of all levels through exposure in the State, Regional and National competition.
