Former Los Angeles Kings player Daryl Evans dropped by Pacific Elementary School’s annual Kinderthon on Friday morning.

Evans, now a Kings radio commentator, was behind the microphone when the Los Angeles hockey team won the Stanley Cup on Monday.

“One of the reasons they were able to win the Stanley Cup was because of the condition that they were in, the physical shape that they were in,” Evans told a crowd of energetic, cheering Manhattan Beach students.

Evans continued, “It’s amazing how much more productive you are in your everyday life by being in good shape. So that’s what were going to try to push today, to keep you guys in good shape.”

After leading the crowd in four “Go, Kings, Go!” chants, Evans pumped his fists and jumped on the track with the kindergarten students.
