A Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of stealing mail on July 1.
A Manhattan Beach resident called police at 3:40 p.m. to report a man peering into vehicles around Ocean Drive and 20th Street. An officer in an unmarked car followed the man and watched him take mail out of a mailbox and walk down Highland Avenue while looking over fences and into car windows.
The officer confronted the man, but he fled across the street. Additional officers helped capture him.
Glynnaustin Toliver, 24, was arrested for misappropriation of lost property in addition to mail theft. ER
