Major Volunteer Appreciation Day PV Youth Basketball League (PVYBL)
The Palos Verdes Youth Basketball League (PVYBL) held an appreciation party on March 12 for volunteers at the Portuguese Bend Beach Club. PVYBL relies on the thousands of volunteer hours put in by league organizers, division coordinators, event managers, coaches and other volunteers. To celebrate the end of another successful season, volunteers and their families enjoyed a day of fun on the sand with food from Tacos Chihuahua, and s’mores cooked over oceanside fire pits. PVYBL is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 by three PV dads. Today the league provides over 1,500 boys and girls the opportunity to play basketball and learn sportsmanship, and life skills.
