A 24-year-old man was found dead in an apparent suicide inside a car Thursday behind CVS Pharmacy on Rosecrans Avenue in Manhattan Beach, according to police.
The man, whose identity is being withheld, had been reported missing to the Los Angeles Police Department two days prior to his death.
Officials are attributing his death to suicide “based on comments and investigation from the coroner [as well as] family information and evidence at the scene,” MBPD Public Information Officer Stephanie Martin said.
Police do not believe this death is related to the body discovered at Polliwog Park that same day, she said.
The body was transported to the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office, Martin said.
