Man robs Radio Shack at gunpoint in Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach police are seeking help in locating 11-year-old Risabba Foss.

A man held a Radio Shack employee at gunpoint Sunday morning in Manhattan Beach and escaped with 30 smartphones worth an estimated $12,000,  according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

Around 10:30 a.m., the suspect entered the establishment on Sepulveda Boulevard, pointed a gun to an employee and demanded a supply of iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 phones. After packing 30 of them into a duffle bag and backpack, he fled through the back door exit. According to police, witnesses saw the suspect enter the passenger side door of an early 2000 silver BMW 328i with faded paint and possibly black rims.

The suspect is described as a male black adult between 25 and 30 years old, 5-foot-6-inches to 5-foot-10-inches tall with a medium build and acne scarring possibly on his face. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, dark sweat pants, brown shoes and carrying a brown leather duffel bag and a black backpack, according to police. His handgun is believed to be a black semi-automatic with an external hammer.

Anyone with information regarding this crime or suspect should contact Manhattan Beach Police Department’s detective Michael Rosenberger at 310-802-5127.
