Manhattan Beach Mayor honors Olympic gold medalists Rebecca Soni and Ricky Berens

Mayor Wayne Powell honored Olympic gold medalist swimmers Rebecca Soni and Ricky Berens, both Manhattan Beach residents, this week. The swimmers, who have been dating for three years, accepted the mayor’s “I Heart MB” award and keys to the city at Tuesday night’s council meeting. Soni and Berens both brought their gold medals to the meeting. Berens won gold at the last two Olympics. Soni has won silver and gold medals.
