MBX, formerly known as the Manhattan Beach Athletic Foundation, helps fund a wide range of Manhattan Beach school extra curricular programs. On Wednesday it helped celebrated the dedication of the resurfaced Mira Costa High School track Wednesday evening. The foundation raised over $250,000 to resurface the track. Among the contributors were the Manhattan Beach 10k Committee, which contributed $10,000 to resurface the track in 2002, and another $10,000 for this year’s resurfacing.
Joining in the dedication were members of the school’s track and football team and the marching band.
