Familiar Manhattan Beach fixtures, such as Love & Salt, whose lineage dates back over four decades to owner Sylvie Gabriele’s father Guy; and less familiar figures such as Lifeguard Captain Tom Seth, whose career also dates back four decades, were recognized last Friday, October 20, during the Best of Manhattan 2023 Awards Dinner. The dinner was hosted by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce at the recently renovated Neptunian Club.
Gabriele’s Love & Salt received the Best of Manhattan award. Seth received the First Responder of the Year Award.
Other honorees were: Undisputed Fight Academy for Women-owned Business; The Dragon and Phoenix Healer for Small and Mighty; Mike Hichalski, of Re/Max for Home Sweet Home; Fete for New Business of the Year; The Arthur J for Dine MB; Kristin Medina, of Manhattan Beach Dental Solutions for Dedicated Employee of The Year; Skechers Foundation for Making a Difference: and North Manhattan Beach Holiday Stroll for Affair to Remember.
