Murder, rape, drug charges for Michael DiGiorgio against nine women

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has charged a South Bay man with murder and 18 counts of sexual assault and drug offenses regarding nine women, one of whom died at the alleged perpetrator’s Redondo Beach residence in 2020.

All of the charges are felonies. If convicted, DiGiorgio’s sentence could be life in prison.

According to District Attorney George Gascon, Michael DiGiorgio, 51, took the women to his homes in Hermosa and Redondo Beach, drugged them and assaulted them.

“I extend my deepest sympathy to the victims, whose lives have been irrevocably changed, and a life lost by the alleged brutal acts of the offender,” Gascón said. “Our office is committed to holding him accountable for the pain and trauma he has inflicted. The safety and well-being of our community is our top priority, and we will not tolerate this type of predatory behavior in our communities. I encourage anyone with information related to these incidents or any other incidents regarding Mr. DiGiorgio to report it to the Redondo Beach Police Department.”

The case is being prosecuted by the District Attorney’s Sex Crimes Division and is being investigated by the Redondo Beach Police Department.

Police believe there are more victims of DiGiorgio and urge anyone who believes they were victimized to contact RBPD’s hotline at (714) 863-2859. ER

it stuns that such brutality could go unnoticed for so very long in such a small, close, community town. how many eyes were averted? ears covered? comings and ‘no goings’ unseen? my heart to the families and friends of these young women. there are no words. may their memories be for a blessing….
