U.S. Freediving Federation team members Alasdair Boyd, Avi Kleyman, Christina Sours, Lance Lee Davis and Johnny Carabajal gathered June 4 at a Torrance backyard fundraiser for their trip to Honduras for the CMAS World Championships in August. Boyd and Kleyman dive in the over-50 category.
CMAS is a French acronym that translates as World Underwater Federation. Davis, the U.S. team captain, lives in Torrance, Sours lives in Redondo Beach, Carabal San Pedro, Boyd in Los Angeles and Kleyman in Thousand Oaks. The area divers make up five of the U.S. team’s 17 members.
