On Sunday, one day after the Redondo Union High School team won both the girls and boys CIF Southern Division Soccer Championships, the North Redondo U12 all star team won AYSO Area 1D championships. The team has won three back to back tournaments, with zero losses. Over the holidays, they won the Region 13 Turkey Tournament, and the Region 14 Christmas Classic. They then won the Region 21 Smash Tournament.
This weekend they travel to Corona to compete against other Southern California AYSO sectional champions.
“These are the toughest girls I’ve had the privilege to coach. Their record speaks for itself,” head coach Brandon Davila said. Natalie Cardenas and Miranda Marquez are the team’s assistant coaches. ER
