Hermosa Beach resident Lynn Olson was easily reelected to the Los Angeles County Superior Court bench during the Tuesday March 5 primary election. By receiving over 50 percent of the vote — 469,691, versus 232,121votes for challenger Rhonda Haymon — Olson avoided having to campaign in a run-off election in the November general election. Olson works in the court’s magistrate division fielding requests for search warrants and emergency orders.
“Olson is an even-tempered judge who demonstrated that she knows how to manage a courtroom,” the Los Angeles Times wrote of her in its pre-election endorsement.
