Panga beached in Manhattan Beach with 1,850 pounds of marijuana

Manhattan Beach photographer Gus McConnell was awakened by helicopters and sirens Saturday morning about 3:30 a.m. When he ran with his camera down to the beach he saw U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers arresting two Mexican nationals who had run their open Panga fishing boat up on the beach, at 44th Street.

The boat was loaded with 1,850 pounds of Marijuana, according to authorities.
