Mayor Carolyn Petty has endorsed Isadore Hall in his run for California’s 44th Congressional District, backing the state senator instead of Nanette Barragan, her former colleague on the Hermosa Beach City Council.
In a statement released by the Hall campaign, Petty was quoted as saying, “We need more leaders in Washington who are there not for politics, but for all the right reasons.” Petty was endorsing Hall because of he is “clearly committed to solving problems and getting things done.”
Petty and Barragan were both elected to the council in November 2013. Barragan resigned Sept. 3 to focus on the Congressional race.
A special election to replace Barragan will be held in March 2016. Barragan faces Hall in a primary in June 2016.ER
