South Bay residents will come together this Saturday to help raise money for the victims of the recent Philippines Typhoon catastrophe with games, a silent auction and fun at the Hermosa Beach Rotary Club.
South Bay Cares Volunteer and Volleyball Ventures have planned the event that will feature Filipino food, board games, wine tasting and other fundraising opportunities to raise money for ABS-CBN Foundation, one of the biggest foundations in the Philippines.
The volunteers ask you spread the word and bring a board game for afternoon activities, cash or check to contribute to the cause, as well as clothing, canned foods and toiletries. They also ask you to bring wine to donate for the brown bag wine tasting event or beer for group games later on.
Local legend Wais Katubadrau will be singing as well as other local performers. A silent auction featuring items and services donated from local businesses will go on throughout the day and winners will be announced at 7 p.m.
The event will be located at 2521 Valley Drive, doors open at 2 p.m. For additional donations, drop off your items at the Volleyball Ventures Canned Food Drive Tourney for the Philippines on November 23 at the south side of the Manhattan Beach pier.
