Police beat: Balcony glass-door break-in, vehicle burglaries

Police reports received Oct. 8-14:

— In the 2500 block of Artesia Boulevard, a closed and secure business was entered through smashing a back door window to take property. Losses reported included wrenches and pliers with black grips. 

— In the 600 block of Sapphire Street, a balcony glass door was broken to take property. Losses included a jewelry safe, pearls, earrings and a necklace, a Raymond Weill watch, social security card and birth certificate.

— In the 3500 block of McBain Avenue, a locked 2007 Mercedes C230 was entered by unknown means to steal a Mercedes ashtray, Spectrum cable box, Nike jacket and registration for a 2021 Hyundai.

— In the 3400 block of Avenue B, an unlocked 2015 Ford Explorer was entered. No property loss was reported. 

— In the 100 block of North Francisca Ave., a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 HD pickup was stolen, and later recovered by the LAPD, 77th Division. ER
