Arrest for attempted residential burglary

A 26-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of attempted residential burglary after a Nov. 2 incident on the 600 block of 31st Street, according to a police report.

After hearing a noise in the backyard, the house’s owner saw a suspect described as a male black juvenile trying the handle of a door near the kitchen and an office door, MBPD said. When police arrived, they saw two subjects leaving the backyard. One subject was immediately taken into custody, while the other fled toward the backyard. After trying to jump a gate, the second suspect was arrested.

Police arrested Noe Maravilla Barocio, 26, of Los Angeles and a male minor, 12, of Gardena, whose name wasn’t given.

Detectives are looking into whether these subjects are connected to any recent residential burglaries.
