Police initiated a “lock in place” at 10:05 a.m. Friday at Mira Costa High School after a bomb threat directed toward the school was received by the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
After police and school security searched the campus, the threat was deemed not credible. Classes resumed at 10:30 a.m.
A police spokesperson said she couldn’t provide any more details about the threat at this time.
It was the fourth time the school received a threat in the past two months.
On Dec. 7 and 11, the school shut down in response to threats. On Dec. 14, it was put on lockdown. After a search, the lockdown was lifted and classes resumed.
