Former Mira Costa High students Nia Marshall, Malachi McMahon, Dalia Feliciano, and Jemal Williams organized a Black Lives Matter protest that drew over 1,000 people to the Manhattan Beach Pier Tuesday afternoon. After assembling, the protesters marched to the Hermosa Beach pier chanting the names of George Floyd, a black man killed by a white Minneapolis police officer last week and Breanna Taylor, a black woman killed by police last March in Louisville.
