Rugby: Carl Aquirre (Palos Verdes High School 2012) will return to his home prep field as a member of the USC Trojans who will play an exhibition game against UC Santa Barbara at noon on Saturday, Oct. 17. Hosted by Palos Verdes Rugby, the event is free to the public and will be held at the Palos Verdes High School football field, 600 Cloyden Rd, Palos Verdes Estates. Sailing: Mira Costa Sailing Team senior Peter Neal finished 6th at the 16-team Pacific Coast Interscholastic Sailing Association (PCISA) Single-handed Pacific Coast Championships at US Sailing Center Long Beach, Sept. 26-27. PCISA is the regional governing body of high school sailing. The Mira Costa Sailing Team is a student club team run through King Harbor Yacht Club’s Junior Race Team by the King Harbor Youth Foundation.
