Vaccine clinics continue for kids ages 5-11
The Beach Cities Health District continues its Covid-19 vaccine clinics for children ages 5-11 on Thursday, Nov. 11 at Hermosa Valley School from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The next session is Saturday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Beach Cities Health District offices, 514 North Prospect Avenue.
The vaccines administered are Pfizer BioNTech. Last week the Centers for Disease Control recommended the Pfizer BioNTech pediatric vaccine for children ages 5-11.
The local clinics began Nov. 8.
Free compost Saturday
The City of Redondo Beach will offer free compost Saturday, Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. behind Anderson Park Senior Center, at 3101 Vail Avenue.
The compost comes from Athens Services, made up of a blend of wood waste, green waste and food scraps — licensed by the California Department of Food and Agriculture.
Those interested are asked to bring a sturdy container no larger than 32 gallons. No plastic bags allowed. Redondo Beach residents only.
