Redondo and Mira Costa rebounded from first-set losses Thursday night and will face tough road matches in the quarterfinals of the CIF-SS Division 1AA playoffs.

Top-seeded Redondo (32-2) defeated host Tesoro 22-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-18 and will play at Long Beach Wilson (17-4) on Saturday.
Kristen Hamlin led Redondo with 18 kills and Norene Iosia added 43 assists and nine digs.
The winner of the Redondo-Wilson match will advance to face either No. 4 Marymount or Great Oak in the semifinals on Tuesday.
The finals will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at Cerritos College.
Mira Costa (28-6) eliminated visiting Chaparral 18-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-19 in its second-round match and will travel to No. 3 Mater Dei (26-10).
The Mustang’s have been playing stellar defense the past month and was led by Ashley Anselmo, Phina Leilua and Erin Sagisi who combined for 13 blocks.
Marymount (28-6) ended Bishop Montgomery’s playoff run sweeping the host Knights 25-16, 25-15, 25-12. Bishop Montgomery finished the season with a 22-10 record.
In Division 2AA, two Pioneer League teams advanced to the quarterfinals.
Second-seeded South Torrance (22-9) needed extra play to survive a near upset at Chadwick (17-8). The Spartans held on for a 23-25, 25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 16-14 victory and will host undefeated Arroyo Grande (20-0) Saturday.
North Torrance (26-6) swept Downey 25-12, 25-16, 25-11 and will travel to fourth-seeded Brea Olinda (25-3).
In Division 4AA, Vistamar (18-5) fell at Nordhoff 25-22, 25-23, 17-25, 25-23.
