Redondo’s girls lacrosse team continues to run on all cylinders as Coach Tom Borgia’s team seeks its first CIF Southern Section crown. After breezing through the Bay League with an undefeated record, Redondo is the top seeded team in the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section North Division.

The winner of the North Division (Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties) will play the winner of the South Division (Orange County) on Saturday, May 14. Redondo will host both the Division 1 and Division 2 championship matches.

For the third time this season, and second in a week, Redondo defeated Bay League rival Palos Verdes taking down the Sea Kings with a convincing 15-5 opening-round victory led by Julia Denney’s four goals.

Micayla and Allison Kotzbach, Allison Field and Brittany Ross each scored two goals. Bailey Czech, Emily Field and Hailey Newman added one a piece for top-seeded Redondo (18-2) who advances to take on fifth-seeded Palisades Charter in a semifinal contest to be held either Thursday or Saturday.
