Hermosa residents opened their hearts and their wallets Saturday evening, March 23, for the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation’s annual Hearts of Hermosa. The annual gala was held under a tented casino in the Community Center parking lot. Nearly $400,000 was raised by the nearly 500 guests through ticket sales and sponsorships. The Ed Foundation hopes to donate over $1 million this year to fund 4th through 8th-grade Spanish classes, STEM and music classes, librarians and counselors. The Ed Foundation also raises funds through the Parent Giving Program, the Skechers Walk, Mom’s Night Out, and the Gum Tree Photos with Santa.
