Return to Venice Beach Again, it’s been cleaned up

Local artist Dominick Schiano. Jr. paints a Venice mural on a public art walk space in Venice Beach, California.

Nearby Venice Beach has always been a fun, funky place to visit, but in recent years, it’s been over-populated by so many homeless encampments that many people preferred to stay away.

But as I discovered on a recent visit, to film the latest episode of PhotowalksTV, Venice has been cleaned up. There are still a handful of homeless tents in the area, but not in the multiples like a year ago.

As you can see in the episode, Venice is as colorful and fun to visit as ever, with a lively street scene, body-builders and beachgoers, art amd murals everywhere you turn, performers and vendors all celebrating the uniqueness of this California coastal town that’s unlike any other.
