Talk of the town

LA Opera and the Broad Stage are co-producing the world premiere of “Dulca Rosa,” an opera with music by Lee Holdridge and a libretto by Richard Sparks, based on the story “Una Venganza” by author Isabel Allende. It opens tonight, Friday, at 7:30, with additional performances on May 25, 28, June 3, 6, and 9. The Broad Stage is located at 1310 Eleventh St., Santa Monica. Plácido Domingo conducts. Gearing up for summer

The Belasco Theatre Company is holding its Fourth Annual “Fiesta Belasco” with a Mexican dinner and an open mic/talent show that features Belasco students.
